How the day count is calculated
The result is the number of whole calendar days between today and your target date, counted from midnight to midnight in your device's local time zone. Today counts as day zero, so a date set to tomorrow shows 1 day.
The years / months / weeks / days breakdown is a calendar-accurate split (it accounts for months of different lengths and leap years), not a simple division — so "1 month" means one calendar month, not 30 days.
Past dates are supported: pick a date that has already happened and the tool shows how many days ago it was instead of a countdown.
