Frequently asked questions

Can this translate both text to Morse and Morse to text?

Yes. Use the Text → Morse direction to encode any text into International Morse code, or switch to Morse → Text to decode dots and dashes back into readable letters. It supports letters, digits, and common punctuation.

Can I hear the Morse code as audio?

Yes. After encoding, press Play to hear the result as tones, and choose a playback speed from 5 to 30 WPM (words per minute) using the speed chips.

How are letters and words separated in the Morse output?

Letters are separated by a single space and words by a forward slash (/). When decoding, the tool also accepts any run of three or more spaces between words, and unknown characters appear as # in encoded output.

Does my text get uploaded anywhere?

No. Translation and audio playback run entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server.
