Frequently asked questions
What are the two modes?
In the first mode you enter an original price and a discount percentage to get the sale price and savings. In the second (reverse) mode you enter the original and sale prices, and it back-solves the percentage off.
How is the sale price calculated?
Sale price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100), and savings = original − sale. The reverse mode computes % off = (original − sale) ÷ original × 100.
Which currencies are supported?
USD, INR, EUR, and GBP — pick one with the currency chips and the results are formatted with the matching symbol. The math is identical regardless of currency.
Example: 25% off a $80 item?
$80 × (1 − 0.25) = $60 sale price, so you save $20. Entering $80 and $60 in reverse mode gives back 25% off.
