What is YouTube's title character limit?

YouTube allows up to 100 characters in a video title. This tool counts live as you type and shows where the title is likely to truncate — around 60 characters in search results and 70 in the mobile feed.

How long can a YouTube description be?

Descriptions can be up to 5000 characters. Only the first roughly 100–150 characters show above the fold before the "Show more" button, so put your most important text first — this tool tracks both numbers for you.

How many hashtags can I use?

YouTube honors a maximum of 15 hashtags in a description; if you add more, it ignores all of them. The counter flags you the moment you go over the limit.
