YouTube / Creator
Four tools for checking how a video will actually appear before you publish it. See a thumbnail at the sizes viewers really see, find where a title gets cut off, confirm channel art survives cropping on every device, and assemble a tag set.

Thumbnails are judged at 120 pixels wide, not 1280
A thumbnail is designed full size and then seen in a sidebar, on a phone, and in a search row, where it can be smaller than 150 pixels across. Text that reads comfortably in the editor disappears entirely at that size. YouTube Thumbnail Preview places your image into the real layouts side by side, so you can see whether the four words you added are legible where it counts. The usual fix is fewer, larger words and more contrast rather than a better photograph.
Titles, art, and tags
YouTube Title & Description Counter shows where a title is likely to be truncated, which varies by surface but tends to bite around 60 characters, so the identifying words belong at the front. YouTube Channel Art Preview matters because channel art is cropped differently on TV, desktop, and mobile, and only a central region survives everywhere. YouTube Tag Generator builds a tag set from your topic with common modifiers rather than leaving the field empty.
Frequently asked questions
Do these tools connect to my YouTube account?
No. There is no sign-in and no API connection. They work on the image and text you provide, entirely in your browser, so you can check a thumbnail and title for a video that does not exist yet.
How long should a YouTube title be?
Aim to carry the identifying words within the first 60 characters, because that is roughly where truncation begins on the surfaces that matter most. Longer titles are allowed and are not penalised, but the words past the cut-off are not doing any work in a search result.
What size should channel art be?
Upload at 2560 by 1440 pixels. Only the central region of roughly 1546 by 423 pixels is visible on every device, so any logo or text has to sit inside that area or it will be cropped away on phones.
